“If you don’t know where you’re going, any road will get you there” – Lewis Carroll.
To me, that quote sums up travel. Travel isn’t about a 7 night stay in an all inclusive hotel in Majorca, it’s about getting on a plane with a backpack with 4 sets of clothes in, and seeing where life takes you.
About me
I’m Tony, a freelance content writer in my 30s from Chester, UK. I decided to work for myself after being made redundant, and haven’t looked back since. Being a freelance writer, I only need a laptop so anywhere can be an office at a moment’s notice.
Why the site?
Why not? is the real question! Joking aside, the site is here to act partly as a portfolio for some content pieces I’ve created, and to also provide guidance, tips, advice and inspiration for travel.
Where have you been?
The list is too long, but here’s a snapshot of some of the things I’ve been fortunate enough to do:
- Swim with turtles in the Caribbean sea
- Kayaking in Slovenia
- Walking holiday in Seefeld, Austria
- Been the centre of attention in Beijing, where I was constantly stopped for photos for being a tall pasty white guy.
- Stayed on a farm for 4 months in Patagonia, working in return for a roof over my head.
Best place I’ve been?
Lake Bled, Slovenia. It’s not a huge area, but it’s so picturesque & spotlessly clean. If you haven’t been, I highly recommend it!
Why are you still going on?
You’re right, I’ll shut up. If you’re wondering how to get in touch:
